Privacy policy

In short

• We set no cookies and use no analytics, tracking, social plugins or third-party fonts.
• Technical connection data is processed when you load a page (server logs and Cloudflare).
• Calculators remember your unit choice (inches or centimeters) in your own browser. We never receive it.
• If you email us, we use your message only to answer it.

1. Who is responsible

The HomeDosh team. Email: contact@homedosh.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer because we are not required to.

2. Hosting and server logs

HomeDosh is a static website hosted by HostBrr (PFWeb Solutions, Denmark). When you open a page, your browser sends technical data that the server records in log files: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the referring page if your browser sends it, browser and operating system (user agent), status code and data volume.

We use this only to deliver the site and keep it secure, for example to fix errors or block attacks. Logs are deleted automatically after the period set by the host and are kept longer only to investigate a specific security incident. Legal basis under the GDPR: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f). The host processes this data to run the server.

3. Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) for DNS, as a content delivery network and as a protective proxy. All requests pass through Cloudflare, which processes the connection data listed above, especially your IP address, to deliver the site quickly and protect it from overload and attacks. Data may be transferred to the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If Cloudflare detects suspicious automated traffic, it may show a security check and set a strictly necessary cookie for that purpose. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. 4. Settings stored in your browser

Our calculators remember whether you prefer inches or centimeters by saving one setting in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent to us and can be deleted in your browser settings. A calculator link you copy or share may contain your inputs in the address; who you send it to is your choice.

5. Links to stores and other sites

Guides link to makers, stores and sources. Nothing from those sites loads until you click. Once you do, the other site’s privacy policy applies. HomeDosh has no affiliate links today. If we join affiliate programs in future, stores in those programs may set their own cookies on their site to attribute a purchase to HomeDosh; we would not receive your personal data from them, only reports of commissions.

6. Email

If you email us, we process your address, your name if you give it, your message and its technical metadata to reply. The mailbox is run by our host. We delete messages once they are dealt with, unless we must keep them by law. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) where your request relates to a contract.

7. Ads and analytics

There are none today. If we add analytics or advertising, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before anything is stored or read on your device.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also complain to a data protection authority. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, you have similar rights to know, correct and delete. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To use any of these rights, email us.

9. Children

HomeDosh is written for adults and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes

We update this policy when the site changes, for example before adding ads. The date at the top shows the current version.
